This classic pack isn’t for everyone, as it can get pretty tedious and requires lots of technical crafting, but those who enjoy Tekkit will agree that it’s one of the best modded Minecraft packs out there. For example, you can create an automated factory that produces diamonds, develop weapons of mass destruction, and even explore space! The use of logistics, energy, circuitry, and industrial machinery are at the core of this pack, and you can do some pretty neat stuff. Tekkit mainly revolves around building and crafting, but on a much higher level than Minecraft. Since then, it’s evolved and branched out into multiple versions.

When Minecraft was gaining vast amounts of traction about a decade ago, this modpack came out and was highlighted by the popular group of YouTubers known as the Yogscast.

It was made with Pam's Harvestcraft (and all the other mods that add lots of new food) in mind, as it can get quite overwhelming if you're just starting out in your journey of becoming a kitchen master. If you like engineering and complex mechanics, Tekkit is a good Minecraft modpack.Ī little backstory: Tekkit was one of the first modpacks ever. It consists of the main component, the Cooking Table, which is the book in block-form and uses the other Multiblock Kitchen parts, the Cooking Oven, which can smelt food items only and provides smelting ability to the Cooking Table, the sink which provides water for recipes, the tool rack which can be used to store tools for recipes and the fridge, where you can store all your ingredients. There's also five new blocks that together form a Multiblock Kitchen Structure.

It also adds an optional upgraded version of the book that can craft the foods right away by simply clicking on the recipes. This mod adds a cooking book to Minecraft that will only show recipes that you can currently make with the things you carry in your inventory.
